Born, raised in Jersey City, Lucy Rovetto studied printmaking and holds a BFA from NJCU. In the 90s she interned then became Freelance Art Handler for the Jersey City Museum. She has work in JC Museum's permanent collection. From 2004-2013 she traveled back and forth to South Africa, enjoying the rich culture and diversity of it's people. In 2005 she created InCourage Cards, postcards/greeting cards from original photos and art and sold them on the street and in retail stores. In 2014 she took an art studio at Merseles Studios. She has shown work in NJ, NYC, PA and South Africa. In 2015 she curated 'Origins', in 2016 'Identity' and 'Vanity' and 2017 'Borderless' Visual Art Exhibitions for Jersey City Theater Center's Merseles Studios Gallery, where she is currently Visual Arts Coordinator.
