Born in the United States of an Iranian father and El Salvadorian mother, I’ve spent much of my youth in New Jersey. At a young age, I started copying comic book art, learning composition and how to draw the human figure. I later found myself in a special arts program in elementary school. Furthering my education, I took art classes in high school and in college and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design with a concentration in Illustration from New Jersey City University.
I enjoy working in mixed mediums often using oil and acrylic paint on paper, wood or canvas. My inspiration is derived from a range of artists such as Hieronymus Bosch, De Es Schwertberger, and Francis Bacon. I also like to use photographs as a source of reference.
