Tom Hinomoto is an abstract painter based in the Greater Metro New York area. His work explores the boundaries of minimalism and abstraction through the depiction of landscape composition.
He was awarded the Frank J. Waters Art Educational grant in 1990 to study photography and drawing at Mount Wachusett Community College. Then he earned a BFA in 1995, from the Rochester Institute of Technology, studying photography, electronic imaging, painting and color theory. In 2008, he earned a second BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, studying visual communication and graphic design.
His paintings are a culmination of these various disciplines and are now shown in and around New York City.
